There’s no use fighting it. eBooks are the future. The AAP report that sales are down 7.6% for the year in kids/YA books and 14.3% for Adult Mass Market books, but that sales are up 193% in eBooks is the writing on the wall.
It’s like 8 track –> LP –> cassette –> CD –>MP3 download.
Or quill –> ink pen –> ballpoint pen.
The newer technology always wins. It doesn’t mean books are dead. It just means that more and more, people will publish in a new format.
It’s better to embrace it now than try to fight something that’s going to be your future.
So go back to writing that book.
It’s the beginning of a new era.
