Losing your chance

“Opportunity just exists in the air for a few minutes. If you don’t obey your gut feeling right away, you’ve lost your chance.” — Ken Hakuta.

I think we’ve all been there. We have an idea. We don’t act on it right away. The idea gets sucked into that black hole where all ideas go, along with those missing sides of socks. Which is why it is imperative to always have a notebook on hand. You don’t want to be writing notes, say, on the back of your kid’s neck because you’re caught unprepared.

That is SO true! I am forever mad at other writers who have, unbeknownst to them, stolen my ideas before I got a chance to put them down!
