Ho ho ho and happy holidaze. I stumbled to your site when I was checking the computer filters our district’s tech dept. has installed and there you were!
Sometimes important “stuff” finds us at the right time in our lives!
I have quickly read some of your posts and am now very interested in getting your book for my student library. I am a local, covert, educational activist in my school district. Actually I am overt, but struggling to remain diplomatic as I advocate for my students.
I have started a blog (but have it blocked to the outside world at this point in time), not sure IF and HOW I want to utilize the opportunity…except maybe to connect to like minds and share creative ideas, etc.
So I am writing here to let you know I am excited to read more of your blog, as I like your style. And from first impression I seem to like your pedagogy as well. I also wanted to invite you to check out my blog so you could offer any advice you might have since I am not a “professional writer” but I did have my mid/high school students write novels last year and plan on doing it again, using the guide that November Novel writing group you participated in published online. Thanks for posting. I think you’re very wise to weigh the decision to go public with your thoughts about education if you’re also holding a job in education. Once you figure out what you want to say, that’s the time to make your blog public. I will stop by your blog. Be a little patient with me as during the next few weeks, with Christmas and family in town, and a school visit I am getting ready for in the first week of January, I will be extremely busy.
